DriversAbstract is a private third-party service provider offering services for a fee.
DriversAbstract is a private company. It is not a government agency, it is not affiliated with or endorsed by ServiceOntario (Ministry of Transportation), and no government has authorised, approved or appointed it. It sells one thing: ordering the Ontario three-year driver record (uncertified, without address) on your behalf, with the ministry’s fee paid out of the single charge you make to us, so you deal with one company instead of two. The ministry emails the record to you directly. You can also order it yourself from ServiceOntario (Ministry of Transportation) for its own fee, and here is the page to do that on.

Where the name comes from
“Driver’s abstract” is what ServiceOntario (Ministry of Transportation) calls the record, and it is what almost everyone searching for one types. The name describes the document we help you order. It does not describe who we are, and it is not the ministry’s name for its own service. The full statement is here.
Why we tell you to do it yourself
Because you can, and because a service that hides that is not one you should trust with a driver’s licence number. The ministry’s fee, its own ordering page and the date we last checked both are on every page of this site, including the one you would pay on. If our fee is not worth it for your situation, we would rather you knew that on the first page than after paying.
What we do not have yet, and are not going to pretend to
No customer reviews, no ratings, no order counts and no testimonials. The company is new and has not accumulated any, so there are none to show, and we are not going to write some. When there are real ones — collected against real order references and shown with their dates, unedited — they will appear here and in the structured data at the same time.
